On the actual GRE I did not encounter any new question types. I had an identified verbal research section which had many new question types, such as multiple fill in the blanks and "choose all that apply." There was also a SC type where there are two possible correct answers that both mean approximately the same thing.

Congrats!! Thats an awesome score by most standards. I have a couple of questions though... you mentioned normal distribution. I have finished looking through the whole of Barrons, and I do not think I saw explanation of normal distribution or problems related to that... so where did you practice normal distribution, and other stuff which were not in the Barrons? Second question, Barrons has many many pactice problems... do you think doing all of them is worthwhile? Usually I am able to solve most of the problems, so I do not know whether it is worth it to go through all of the problems and instead jump into the model tests. Basically I am wondering how you prepared for the quantitative part.

You're right, barron's had nothing on SD or normal distribution. I would not have known it if not for this board. I reviewed the topic from my Intro to Statistics textbook. As it is, I'm not quite sure I got the problem right. |
