Not bad after 0 h 0 min of preparation
I know exactly where I messed up in the listening section. I actually thought that the Listening section was over, took off my headphones and began walking away for the break, when I saw a new task beginning. You can imagine my surprise.
In the Speaking section, I got confused on the 5th task.. Just a lapse, probably due to lack of preparation.
As for the Writing section, I have no idea what happened. I wrote my Ph.D. (Cambridge Univ) in English and did not have more than a few style-related corrections on it (70,000 words). So, I am very disappointed there.
Nonetheless, that hassle is done with. Good luck to future test takers. The test is somewhat unfair to people who lack active English experience, but if ETS likes it that way, who am I to complain?
I mentioned it somewhere else before. I first took TOEFL iBT in 2005 as a requirement for graduate studies in the UK. I didn't prepare that time either and I received 293/300. So, I really didn't see a point in studying for this one. I'm from Central Europe. I guess I always watched movies without subtitles and read a lot of books in English even before I went to England.
My advice - speak slowly, clearly, a bit louder than normal and you'll be fine. I didn't finish 2 out of 6 Speaking tasks and I still got high scores because I spoke clearly and with an American accent.
As for other sections - I have no idea how to prepare, I guess you should practice if you feel you need to.
