Gave my TOEFL today... was expecting more..... However here is the break up...

Listening: 30
Structure: 13-29
RC's: 26 (I had double checked all questions...dont know where I went wrong...Though the level was a bit higher than Powerprep)

Over all: 230-283

My essay topic was: Some people like spending time with a few friends while others like spending time with large number of friends.Discuss the advantages of each. Which one would you prefer.

I wrote about 5 paras of medium size and mentioned various points. I think I might get a 5.

I hope its a decent score.... what do you say...kinda depressed with it....

I think that is not too bad,

For me it is very great,the score of the essay is well-done, May be, you wrote many paragraphs , that is the reason you could not send the outstanding points for your essay.

Tell me the exprience when you taking the test, also the time before the test.

and completely agreed with you on the reading section; before i saw my score, i was pretty sure that reading section would have the highest score, possibly an ace, but it turned out to be the lowest

Were you satisfied with your score??? personally I was expecting something around 290-300. However consulting from various sources I found that we need to clear the threshold of 250+. I hope that if I get 5, I can make it to 275...
I just hope that PSU doesn't have any special criteria for the TOEFL scores.

hi saraj,
since i didn't do an intensive preparation, i was aimed for a final score around 270, however more points are always welcome and i was a bit disappointed with my reading section, it's the only reason i won't get a 290+
fortunately the highest minimum accepted toefl score for the schools i am interested in is 260 and i will probably get a 270+, so my score don't bothers me much, but as i said earlier, why wouldn't i want more
