BEWARE IBT test center : I can Language Center Inc. Pasig Philippines

I have taken IBT in I Can Language Center Inc. located in Ortigas Center Pasig Philippines , the test center so small and not fit for examintaion the monitor is only 10 inches from your face, also I can see the monitor of the 3rd person beside me that I can clearly see all the question and answer of the person beside me. There are no space for you to write and take notes. The computer we used are soooo old that and 2 of the test taker have a problen on their headset while 1 test taker had a problem on his keyboard. While they are fixing the problem I have already started the IBT test I was very distracted because the proctor would pass at may back because of lack of space I have to move my chair forward now and then for them to pass through They used monoblock chair that is not comfortable for a test taker to sit for four hours. IBT is very difficult exam and expensive I believe that a test taker should be comfortable during the test. If you have time check test center before registering. I'm so sorry to hear your story.

Do you have the Ministry/Department of Education in your country? Why don't you inform the appropriate authorities about this kind of a mess? Let them know about this mess. I believe the government will take relevant action against these thieves.

I tell you, if the Ministry/Department of Education investigates and takes appropriate measures against the test center it will be a good lesson to ETS, because ETS will lose income.... the thing that ETS is not prepared yet to face.

ETS makes a lot of money in the Phillipines from various standardized tests.

If I were you, I would have informed the police...

I am so sorry to hear your experience when you took the toefl exam there in the Philippines. I am also from Philippines (manila). I was just lucky i guess to take it here in US because the place that I took my toefl exam was so nice and have an excelent equipment what i mean is the computer,the head set, and even the proctor. I just hope that you pass it even with those bad experiences.

Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience, you should also complain to the ETS and see if you can get a refund. I hknow that would be difficult but try, I think it is worth an email to ETS.

Do you know the name of the test center? If the test center is good, we should let others know. I remember few years ago someone suggest we let others know about the condition of the test centers, but it never caught on.

yap i still have the address of the test center that i went to to take my toefl exam, I believe they are new establishment for giving different kinds of test one is the toefl exam. Here is their address:

yap i still have the address of the test center that i went to to take my toefl exam, I believe they are new establishment for giving different kinds of test one is the toefl exam. Here is their address:
