The funniest thing is that I have the same book from Cambridge, because I thought that is a good one. I'm gonna read it, but which one do you think is better based on your experience?

Rubia, I thought it was quite bad. The CD was OK, though. Honestly, I prepared for the exam in three or four days, so I didn't spend much time looking at books, I got that one because I could borrow it.

Ideally, I'd recommend you to go to Barnes & Noble, get a nice cup of coffee and leaf through all their TOEFL books until you find the best match for you (that is, if you're in US. Otherwise I'd use Amazon's reviews). That's what I did to find the two books I'm now using for the GRE.

And don't forget the ETS free TOEFL sample exam. I found it to be accurate in the end, since I had missed one or two questions in it and my score at the real thing was similar. However, the real exam felt much much harder.
