Hi all,
I did the test on May 30th in Rome (I'm an Italian native speaker) and my results were quite high, even higher than I expected especially in the listening part. WRITING - 30 (very proud of it, I could discuss the integrated task very precisely and I also did very well as far as concerns the open essay) READING - 30 (I made a lot of exercise reading the Economist and the Financial Times during the whole year [even if this preparation wasn't meant to be for the purpose of taking the TOEFL, but just for my own sake]) LISTENING - 28 (There were some disturbing noises coming from the headphones and I thought I missed all the answers in the first lecture, so actually I expected a lower score, but maybe I just focused on all those errors and didn't think that I didn't make any error in the remaining lectures) SPEAKING - 24 (This is my real weakness, and I must confess that I didn't train it a lot... However, I could argue that speaking with a computer is not so comfortable) TOTAL - 112 (I needed a 100, in order to be admitted to a master programme in Economics... so, it's very good and gave me self-confidence in my English back, since I had lost it when I went to Holland )Keep on working on your English!!! Greetings, Massimiliano |
