Please help me about Rescore policy??????

Hi,
I took toefl-IBT in March 29, 2008. Can I still apply for rescore? Is there any deadline to apply for rescore? Please reply me. I got 21 in writing and 23 in speaking. So, I am thinking to apply for rescore if it is not so late.

Hurry up. You can apply for resecoring within 3 months of your test date. Send your application by fax so it will reach before June 29th. Hope this will help.

Is there any chance that I can get 24 in writing from 21? I am almost sure about speaking because I have 2 goods and 1 unlimited. But, I ended by scoring 23 in speaking. If anyone has any experience of increasing score in writing by rescoring then please let me know.

Hi Pharmacist2009,
There is no hard of trying, sometimes you have to gamble in order to win. As I can see with your result that you need a lenient raters to pull your score up. In speaking score, even if you have 2 good and 1 limited , still that would be equivalent as having 2 fair and 1 good ( its tough decision).. For your writing score.. 21 to 24 is feasible. Again you need a lenient raters to pull it up, whether your integrated or independent essay in order to get 24... according to the survey here in testmagic about rescoring that few test takers had luck with rescoring and achieved their dreamt score...All I can say.. GO FOR IT.... god bless

Thanks for your response. I just tried my luck. I know it is really tough to score 26 from 23 with 2 Good and 1 unlimited. Also I need someone generous person to score me 24 from 21 in WRITING.
In fact, I have minimal expectation.
