I got my score!!!
Finally I got my TOEFL score today!
R 26 L29 S26 W25 I’m so happy, guys! It was my first and only attempt and tell you the truth I wasn’t sure at all that I’ll past it that fast. Overall, the test didn’t look very difficult, or may be I just got lucky. Reading section contained 5 passages, as always. One of them was quite challenging though. Listening was very easy. Speaking section was the most difficult for me, although the questions were not that hard. If somebody wants to know exactly what my questions were I can post them. Couple of times I kept speaking for much too long and run out of time. For sure, I thought I didn’t past that part. Finally, the first section of writing was a lecture about alternative substitution for gasoline. My reading passage opposed the lecture. In the second part of writing I got a topic about children playing videogames in contest if I agree or disagree with this statement. I just want to tell you guys that you are all very smart and for sure can do it. |

Hi guys
I thought I can do well in English. I live in USA and have been working at Wal-Mart for five years. Every body is telling me, I am very clear and should be fine with English. Last december, I passed the FPGEE in my first attempt with a high score. I need to pass IBT to be able to practice as a pharmacy intern. The problem is, I get panic anytime in the test center and lose my control. Isn,t it rediculous? When I get out of the test center, I deeply feel disapointed, and wish I could take it again at the same time. I am sure I can make it if I stay calm during the test. But how can I overcome the test anxiety? When I look at the clock on screen, my heart starts to beat so fast, and I feel so nervous. Oh my God, I,m not done yet, and time is passing so fast. I think, the other problem is, my freinds are affecting me negatively. I have seen them waiting for more than two years to acheive the score they need. I keep telling myself, I can do it, I am different. I can paint. I have a lot of different challenges. I am also a realtor... But still struggling with ibt. Please tell me something to high my confidence. To thoese who passed it. I need some possitive energy. Thanks. |

Hi pega,
I took the Test last Friday and now I am waiting for my results. However, I understand you because sometimes I felt nervious because of the time But the clue in this kind of Tests is to stay calm... Otherwise, we are not going to be able to concentrate and reflect our English knowledge... And that is the goal of TOEFL iBT... To show that you have an advanced level of English ![]() I think that it is a good practice to relax at least one day before the Test. In my case, I went to the movies to watch a comedy and then I ate a pizza with red wine... For me, red wine is useful because it helps me to relax and to sleep deeply at night... Also, I really like red wine ![]() Then, early in the morning I drunk some orange juice and went to the Test Center. In the break, I ate some chocolate because it helps your brain to work better. Finally, I breath deeply when I felt nervous and try to focuss all my atention on each question... I hope these tips would help you. Be confident... TOEFL iBT is only a Test and you can do it Good Luck!!! Cheers. |
