Profile evaluation

Hey all,
I'll be applying to law schools this fall. I'm planning on taking the LSAT in September. Lemme know what you think about my profile so far.

Undergrad Institution: NYU
GPA: 3.917
LSAT: TBD
Major: Economics
Minor: Mathematics
Interests: law and economics

any thoughts? Thanks

There isn't much anyone can tell you without an LSAT score. If you get above a 175, you'll probably get into H, and have a good shot at both Y and S (Harvard will accept pretty much anyone in that range, but since both Yale and Stanford have much smaller class size, numbers alone might not get you in). If you get between 170-175, you will probably get into NYU/Columbia/Chicago and possibly one of the top 3. If you score between 165-170, you're looking at the rest of the t14 with a shot at the top 6 (although a very slim shot at H, Y, S). If you score between 160-165, you can look at somewhere around the top 20. Anything below that and you shouldn't be considering law school imho. If you are an URM, you can see shifts of between 5-10 points on the lsat depending on how underrepresented you are. Also, if you are really interested in law and econ, U Chicago is the place to be. Make sure you play up that angle.

A good site to check out is LawSchoolNumbers.com | LawSchoolNumbers.com where you can see how gpa/lsat combinations have historically fared. Good luck!
