Okay, here's an old one. I bet a lot of you know it already:
A man is riding up an elevator to go back to his apartment. The elevator stops suddenly, between floors. He says, "My wife just died." Why? |

Yes. He was going home, he knew his wife was there, and when the elevator stopped, he knew his wife would die (actually, one thing I don't like about this puzzle is that it would probably not actually happen in the real world (for one reason I will bring up after you get it), but these puzzles are like this...)
