Hi all! So I get to 'chat' with Earthlings at WLT after a long time and not 'talk to myself'.
 Hi there kron (saw thy missed call just now) How u? Hello cri... tell us more abt thy trip to Boston. Is this your first trip to US? if yes, how do you find US? Earthlings there? did you get any time to spend with students there? How do they like it at Brown?

BTW, nothing from Duke yet? Would you choose Duke over Dallas and WFU? Or would you still need to think about it should the admit come in?

Was away... Guess I will have to leave soon. But...
@cri: thats really awesome. I cant wait to go and see the place where i most humbly and respectfully would be spending the next 5-6 years. btw, i am waiting for duke. I have said 'no' to wfu. if i dont get in at duke, i will go to utsw. otherwise duke only. @kron: ok da, bye bye and good luck for the last exam. u shud start preparing for GRE after that, seriously.

Now, about the students, everybody is really enthusiastic about the school and crazy about the professor I'd been working with. (She's extremely popular, and I can understand why, she's awesome both on a personal and professional level. And the good thing for me is that she's been there only since the beginning of this academic year, so she hasn't taken on any students yet...
).The atmosphere was also really great and everybody in the program seems to get along well. There was no competition at all and the students told me it was different in some other departments, but because their work is so personal and different for everyone, it's fun to talk about each other's projects and learn from each other's research. So, yes, I could definitly see myself living and studying there for the next 6 years or so. The neighborhood is also really nice and safe.Quote:
