Hi all!! Good morning!!!
I guess that for most of us, it's nearly decision time, in about a month, we will have to commit to one program. I haven't made up my mind yet, but, as you might have guessed, chances are very high that I'm going to Brown. Today, I'm going to reject the other offers I've received so far. Then I'll wait and see if I get more admits and then I'll decide. I'm hoping I'll know for sure in two weeks time or so.

Oh, I understand what you mean. You know, when I got into wake and when it seemed i will not be able to go to other schools even if I get in, I wished I wouldnt get in anywhere else. Am sure part of your mind wishes that. Its good to decline other offers as other waitlisted students wud get a place then. I have also declined wake offer. Btw, am going to write to the 5 pending schools and enquire abt my app status. I am becomig more and more impatient.

Yes, it's a good idea to ask them about the status of your app. I found that some universities just wait a very long time to inform students, even when they already know the decision... I also contacted several universities last week, and received answers from most. One was still deciding and the others were all rejections but they still had to send the official letters. In any case, I was happy to find out earlier so that I can cross them off my list and come closer to the final outcome. I had also read (on several forums) that they had already admitted students, so the rejections didn't come as a surprise. I guess at this point, it's just important for us to know the full outcome asap to be able to start arranging the details of our trip/relocation. Good luck!

Hi Aarushi!!! Yes, long time no see! As you can see from my avatar, I'm going to Brown!!! So we'll have plenty of time to meet up starting August!

Yes, well I applied to A LOT of schools... The strange thing is that the lower-ranked schools for my field (Indiana and Washington) did not give me any aid. So, luckily I applied to so many schools, because for me, admits without aid are useless, I'm not a rich girl.
