Ahh... well Sir, i could'nt agree more.

However to get back to texting (which I don't use). I see it as a useful means of communication in certain circumstances, maybe it would be more useful if its form was regularised to a standard format. But I also see it as potentially dangerous for those who become addicted to it and use it for inane, unnecessary conversations similar to those they have in internet chat rooms.

What does make me mad is when texting conventions get used in places where normal language could and should be used, such as letters, reports, these boards, etc. That reduces the understandability of the language and is a threat to its continued existence.

Thanks to people like you Sir, this place still isn't & wont be affected as bad.

Hope you might have noticed that when ever I address anything to you, I try my best to stay of the abbreviations to prevent such situations as the above mentioned.

How can we make people to be aware that abbreviation should not be used in where it shouldn't.

Please check pharmacy forum.

Also, people are starting sentences without using a capital letter.

It becomes norm for testmagic pharmacy forum. I did not read it for a long time. Today, I happened to check some messages and got a headache after trying to understand the abbreviations. I am sorry for the complaint but...it is too hard to read.

Hi members,

Has Michael still been around? I hope that he is patient enough to read messages from English learners. I haven't read messages from this forum for while and, now, I feel that I have less patient to continue reading because of a lot of abbreviations and inproper use of English, especially when people started a sentence without a capital letter.

Oh yes, still around.

Not posting much since things seem pretty slow here these days, and because I ignore posts where people can't be bothered to try to use correct spelling, capitals etc. I work on the principle that if they are that lazy they aren't serious about improving their English.

And it's bad for my blood pressure.
