Are these traits useful?

Hi,

I'm actually taking my GRE in June. I just wanted a small information from the experienced here. I just wanted to know if some extra traits are gonna help me in getting admission into a university atleast to some extent or atleast give me a little edge over others. I mean, I've got Three National Level First Prizes under Paper submissions and then Second Prize for National level mini projects competition and then I've been the Chief Editor of a College Level Magazine (especially this - will this help me to some extent)... I was a little disappointed when I saw some sort of an indifference around me. So I just wanted to know if any of the above things are ever gonna help me in my life or I've just wasted my time, to get those things which are never useful for me. Please Help.

These are very important things to mention in your application to graduate school. They will help a lot!
