Hey...the LSAT thread is like...OLD!? Anyone around!??? I thought everyone was applying to be lawyers these days...I guess it all went to Pharmacy or something!?

Anyway...looking to take a test prep course...anyone recommend any programs? Read from one of the threads that Kaplan wasn't good!? Something about homeless people teaching...and test masters is best? Can anyone agree with this or not? Please help!!! Thanks.

Hi Minaelle...

the 2 courses which are considered best are from: Testmasters and Powerscore. I wouldnt recommend TM as I got a crappy lecturer.

If you are planning to take claases, then all boil downs to the kind of instructor you get!! I have heard Powerscore is actually better then TM as it lecturers/instructors are pretty good....

For starters you should get: Powerscore Logical Reasoning Bible and Powerscore Logical Games bible. On Yahoo look for a group called 'SanDiengoLSAt' or something. It has been started by sunforliving.. she is really helpful..

If you need any help let me know!!!

I took the TM course for LSAT but ended up making 143, down from 149 I received before taking their course. Desperate, I took a gamble with an unknown (to me, at least) testprep company called MLIC LSAT. To my surprise, their prep materials were top-notch, and the in-class part of the training sort of linked all three assessment sections neatly.. The instructor was outstanding. They show you how logical reasoning involving deductive process can be applied to Analytical Reasoning (games section). My score went up to 167. I would recommend MLIC course. I took their class in New York City

Good luck, folks!
