I have decided to take my GMAT on the second week of January. (the 11th). I have not started working on my applications yet. I started preparing in June but took a long break due to a new job. ( and I regret the break very much now....) I plan on starting the work for sending in the applications after I take the GMAT. I need the time before that to study for it.
My question is, am I too late getting into the process? (3rd week of Jan...) Will it affect my chances of admission or financial aid? (I am a resident of the US) I really appreciate any response. Edited by Erin for utility. |

No, of course it's not too late to apply, but applying later in the game usually reduces your chances of success.
That said, I typically see students still applying to schools up till around May or so, usually because they either over- or underestimated their chances and are applying at more realistic schools. So you've still got plenty of chances. And, although some selective schools will not review your application once you've been rejected, if you don't get in this year, you can just try again next year! |
