GMAT Bong - plz evaluate my chances

HI GMAtBong
I am male from India. Age -23
I have took GMAT 2 months ago and got 600 (M-44, V28). My TOEFl score is 267. I have 1 yr of work expirience, G.P.A close to 3.7 and good recommendation letters. As I wanted the scholarship or assistantship to fund my education, I thought It would be better to retake the GMAT

Today I took the GMAT and got 590 (V 47, Q 25) I never got such a low score in any practice tests. My GMAT score was 690 and 670. As deadlines are now approaching, what do u think about the admission?

Should go with this score and apply to low end universities?
What are my chances of getting the assistantship or scholarship?

sorry to deliver the bad news, you probably have little scholarship chances with that score unless you are one of the few minority from tibet.

But all is not lost, since you are so young at 23. You should try to work on your WE and GMAT for 2 more years. Just getting an assistantship in a no-name or low-end university you will not get any jobs in US. In fact, probably no jobs. (I am assuming you want to at least work in US for a year or two to build your career in US or back to India and also assuming you are not majoring in Accounting.)

So play your card right by working hard and keep on doing it.
