Guys,
Desperately need some help regarding composing my application essays.

A lil bit about myself.. I am a typical Indian techie with 4+ years of experience in 2 software MNCs. I have one year of international work ex(US) under my belt. My school/college academics is average. I have taken GMAT few days back and scored 750. I wish to apply immediately to good mba programs that are aligned to my ambitions and needs.
I am tired of repeatative technical work and want to move myself into next orbit of consulting after my mba.

Now here comes the problem .. I am finding it to be extremely difficult to compose the essays. Worse, inspite of repeated attempts, I am yet to start a single essay. My lack of knowledge about consulting and about how a mba degree can help me become a consultant is proving to be a bottleneck. Result, my trash is overflowing with half scribbled papers and I am losing precious days (and hair).

Basically I am looking for some pointers to lift myself from the abyss of frustration:
1. A more in-depth knowlege of IT Consulting (okay, I know the defination, but some additional info that can make me lil confident)
2. How a mba degree can help me become a consultant .. I am looking for specifcs here, e.g., knowlegde of the management tools and ideas that can make any difference
3. Any sample "why mba" essay etched by a mba-aspirant who wishes to pursue consulting.

Sorry for such a long post (length of my post is generally proportional to my level of frustration at the time of writing)..
