30 too old for FT MBA in a top 10? and profile evaluation...

I'm 30, female, 8 yrs work exp, in the IT field. I just started thinking about an FT MBA and that too aiming only for one of the top 10. Is 30 too old for a FT MBA? I just started my GMAT prep and hoping to put in my best in the next 3 months(yeah, being a little ambitious here). Planning on applying in the second and 3rd rounds. Really want to apply for Fall 2008. I have a Master's degree in CS from a non-ranked school in the US, have a 3.5 GPA, working for a tech company for the past 8 years. Also thinking about a slight career shift at this point. Any advice/comments?

30 is not too old but if you are from IT and traditional field, please don't expect to get in to H/S since they are younger schools. Female is good but IT is not so good. Guessing you are indian??? if so, there are a few of those IT indian female as well so it count against you.
For other top 10 schools, try and see what happen.
