Hi,

I graduated from one of the top 3 universities in Canada with a degree in computer science.
My GPA was amongst the top 5% and I currently work in IT Consulting.

If I were to quit my job and take an attempt at running my own business, how would MBA schools see it?

Would it hurt/help?

Is the nature of the business also an issue? What if it's something routine like a quickloans store?

I think you should put your long term career ahead of school.

Do you plan to be entrep. or VC? If so, then you don't even need MBA school.
If you are thinking being in banking or PE or MC, then you need MBA school.
