Help me explain my failing grade

I received a NP (no pass) in my last quarter as a senior.

My overall GPA is 3.33 and GMAT of 730. I don't have any extenuating circumstances to explain the failed grade. I just got lazy.

I obviously can't say this in the optional essay and I also don't want to lie about some circumstance that didn't happen. The way I word the essay is going to be crucial in the execution and in how this comes across to the adcomm.

Can you give me some tips or ideas?

The other thing is that the professor was really boring. I can say that I learned not to let circumstances such as these deter me from learning.

I guess you just say it as it is. Althought, NP is different than a F
so it sounds better anyway.

i'm not saying that you should lie, but being straight forward in this case will not get you any better. if you have new projects, volunteer work, extra cirricular, etc. during that time, you should mention it.
