Arr..!!Big concerns about my scores (Will top business schools laugh at my score)

Arr..!!Big concerns about my scores (Will top business schools laugh at my score)

I just took Gmat for the fifth time today and I got 720 but my previous scores are not high.

Here is my score record:

1st Canceled (I felt I did not do well)
2nd 360 (With out doing much study)
3rd 460 (With some study)
4th 550 (Hard work)
5th 720 (work very hard+ some private tutors)

Here is my brief profile:

Obtained a BA in finance from a collage in California
GPA: 3.54
Approx 3 yrs of work experience in a financial sector
When I was in college I did a lot of activities.
I am not a US citizen.

Will the admission officers laugh at my record and in general will they accept me?
I plan to apply to top five business schools such as Harvard, MIT, Wharton, Kellogg or Stanford. Please be honest with your answers. Do not give me a good answer just because you want me to feel better.

omg!! from 360 to 720!!! How did you do that, I think no one can stop you from getting into top B school only because this shows that you are capable of achieving your dreams if you are determined...
Seriously, what was your strategy, in detail please!

I think school can only see your most recent 3 scores. And if they think you only took it three times from 460 to 720, then they say you work very hard and qualify.

From an academic perspective (unless your score is very skrewed), you qualify for all those schools. The harder issue is how are other skills and WE?

For WE, Are you working in a B.Bucket ibank as analyst? PE? HF? VC? or plain vanilla commercial bank and mortgage lender?

For school, which california school? which one? The UC or CSU?

What was your ExtraCurr activity?

I work in a well known financial company in Thailand ( the best one); the bad thing is it is a local company so it is not internationally known. I am an LF. Activities: Stu gov+RA.
College: just a Liberal Art Coll..

So your WE is your weak point since you are competing with folks from PE/HF and ibanking as well as run of the mill Big4 accountants. The good thing is you are Thai. What is an LF? Student gov is good but thats during college years, how about now? I think you need to do more extraCurr.

Which liberal art coll.? Are they williams, swarthmore or amherst? If not, you still has some battles in those stated schools.

Generally, yes. except if you work for some small startup in the valley or some hedge fund or PE shop.

I think the schools would really appreciate your effort. You are Thai which is a big plus. I don't see any reason why a Harvard or an Oxford shouldn't admit you.
