Hi all,

Is a single page resume better vs. a multiple page resume? My thought is if you can tell the story in one page and leave the reader wanting more, then a one pager is the way to go. However, I have seen people's resumes that are 6 pages long and they include everything under the sun.

Personally, if I were an admissions rep, I would think that the 6 page person is trying way to hard and lacks the confidence in their writing ability. (Just my personal opinion)

I have seen packets of resumes from the top schools for people who are graduating and they are ALL one pagers. So maybe there is some guidance in all of this.

I will go with a one pager, because I feel very strongly that I am able to leave the reader wanting more.

I am just curious what others think about this, thoughts?

The general rule is that one page is enough for most applicants. Two pages maybe if you've been a CEO or something, but most MBA applicants aren't old enough to have that kind of experience.

I can tell you from experience that one page is usually sufficient--including all the minutiae of one's life can get annoying really quickly.
