where can I go? evaluation

Hi,

I am looking forward to applying for MBA school next year and I would like to receive your output.

- Gmat:640 (already took 3times, so I am not sure that I want to jeopardize my score but of course I believe that I can improve it)
- GPA: ... (As a foreigner, my university did not use GPA system. I graduated with 80% and a Magna Cum Laude)
- Exchange Student at Kenan-Flagler - took 8 elective classes with 2nd MBA students (a pleasure!!)
- Job experience: 3 years (6 months in Belgium, and from then in the US)
- TOEFL: I plan to take it again (should score proficient or higher)
- Extra-curriculum: a lot at University - less now but should be ok

I applied 18 months ago and was wait-listed at Babcock (Wake Forest) and had an interview with Olin (Washington). From Babcock feedback, my lack of experiences was my weakness.

I am not looking for a top 10 but wish a top 20. Oh I will apply in the first round this time.

What is your opinion? Should I retake the GMAT?

Be honest!!!

vanwin

First things first - you usually ask for someone's 'input' on something.. not 'output'

640 isn't all that bad, if you have plenty of time on your hands it wouldn't hurt to try to bump it up to 700...

But I noticed a big hole in your situation... to quote you "From Babcock feedback, my lack of experiences was my weakness."

Then your summary question is "Should I retake the GMAT?"

If a school has given you feedback saying you lack experience, then maybe you should look more closely at that rather than your GMAT score...

hi chrisw123,

Thank you for your words.

I agree I should work on my work experience, kind of difficult except to wait before applying. It was I did by not applying last fall.

If someone has another output, fee free I will appreciate.
