looking for companies that sponsor MBA schooling

Hello everyone,

I am very interested in doing an MBA. My educational background is a Bachelors degree in Science.

I currently work for a University (for 6 years part time). I would like to switch fields and work in the hospitality business (hotel management and/or quality control) or travel (someone that evaluates hotels, resorts, restaurants, etc).

What hospitality/travel companies sponsor their employees to attend an MBA school (ie. pay for it)? Is their a website somewhere that lists such information?

Thank you very much.

I don't have a lot of specific information, but we share similar interests, so I'll reply anyways.

Most of the major operators tend to have training programs, and as you work your way up, some of them will probably have some tuition reimbursement. I think that this is becoming less common in all industries. If you haven't worked in hospitality, you will have to work for a few years before a company will pay for your schooling. You should look at the career information sites of the major operators and read about their employee benefits. If I remember correctly, Kimpton Hotels, one of the major boutique owner/operators, offers very good benefits and I think will help pay tuition. They are located in San Francisco and have several hotels under different brand names in most major US cities. They seem to be expanding quickly, so check them out.

What MBA programs are you considering?

I haven't replied to posts in years, but I saw similar background and wanted to lend a word or two..

I have a scientific background and worked for a university as well, I took my skills to something more concrete than university fundings and contracts into the aerospace industry. companies like Lockheed, Raytheon, Boeing, etc will pay FULL tuition costs regardless of the field you intend to pursue such as a MBA. If the west coast is your location, then Northop may be your best bets.
