Hi Happyface. Before I took my NAPLEX and during the span of 9 months I was doing my internship, I've read a lot of posts that stated concentration to math. Over time, the posts said there were a great percentage of math problems in the exam. I viewed these as very complicated problems like "err on the side of caution". So, I studied APhA and skimmed through Stoklosa. When I took the exam, it's true I got a lot of math problems. How hard? They were all ratio and proportion and very basic formulas like NaCL equivalent, CrCl and Vd. I took a great deal of time going through the formulas in pharmacokinetics only to get a basic calculator at the exam. I will not say that I wasted my time because the benefit I got is I was able to fully understand the concepts of the formula which helped me decipher non-calculation questions. In my opinion, APhA alone is more than adequate for math problems. I wish you good luck!
