Important extracts from the Naplex digest, pharmpreponline & APhA

Hey guys... Finally I read everything from pharmpreponline material, APhA and Naplex digest. I feel so confused, so i definitely need two to three times review of everything. I think I read too much and that confuses me.

I want to share some odd things that you should keep in eye or where you can be tricked by NAPLEX. Since I should not waste too much time, I will type only stuff that I think it's important......

Please contribute your odd things... real real odd......

Three beta-blockers are common in HF and HTN.

Carv Me to Biscuit (trick to remember : copied from naplex digest)

Carv = Carvidilol
Me = Metoprolol Succinate (ONLY -> remember tartrate is only selective used for the HTN, it is never ever prescribed for the HF)
Tartrate = Lopresser; Succinate = Toprol XL (SOURCE: APHA)
Bis = Bisprolol

Carv & Me are top 200 drugs so you must remember the max doses. REMEMBER BOTH DRUG HAVE A DIFFERENT MAX DOSES ACCORDING TO THEIR USE.... (SOURCE: APHA)

in HF:
carv : 100 mg
Me : 200 mg

in HTN:
carv : 50 mg
Me : 400 mg

Best luck guys....

Which drug(s) can be used to treat stress induced urinary incontinence ?
I. Topical estrones
II. Alpha agonists
III. Alpha antagonists

Do you know guys ?

How can you see the good response of the nolvadex on breast cancer ???

Bone pain...

If patient complains about bone pain... nolvadex is giving good therapeutic effect.. and this bone pain can be treated by the aspirin or other NSAIDs.

Trick to remember:
Tammy loves to give Bonus Pain in Breast cancer patients
(Tamoxifen - Nolvadex)
