Passed NAPLEX
Hello All,
With all your help, support and constant encouragement, I cleared the dreaded NAPLEX with a good score. I take this opportunity to thank all, but mention temp, ginas for all their sharing. My exam had lot of math [more than 25 covering all aspects .. mEq, NaCl equivalents, t1/2s, alligation, statistics,p value, drip rate]. Topics included in profiles -- diabetes,HF,PD,antibiotics, Flu vaccine,OA,RA,Otitis media .. To all those having tension before taking the exam -- just wait for the after exam and results waiting tension -- it will be much worse than the earlier one. I would like to offer any help to all those appearing for the exam. yesyoucan |

Thanks Nunaya.
I used APhA and Prontopass. I also used KAPLAN Lecture Notes which I purchased on Amazon. It is one of the best materials mainly in its approach, tips, hints, organization of material. It is given to Walgreens people in training. One more book I used is Apple and Lang's Q&A. One should do all the questions and Profiles in it at least once. Some of the question in actual exam are very similar to the ones in it. I listened to the audio CDs during my daily commute. I also had the Kosergarten's Profiles book and now I can say -- it is the least useful and not at all oriented in the NAPLEX style. I had used Pharmacistletter [one year subscription], medscape website [emedicine]. For the OTC, I visited local pharmacy shelves daily one week before the exam -- spent at lest 30 minutes daily. I had the internship going on all the while -- part time. I did lot of math practice -- actual practice -- both from Prontopass and Kaplan Notes and APhA. Patient counselling is a key area. I did not spend time on MOA that much or physiology part. yesyoucan |

Thanks YESYOUHAVE.
I think that you really wento work on NAPLEX. Would you say if you had had full time Internship, some of the questions would have appeared easier. Thanks for your support and Understanding to those coming behind you. Cheers again. |

Thanks Nunaya.
I would say No to your question on full time internship's help on some questions becoming easy. The most help I had from internship was in realizing the brand names, combinations, refrigeration of suspensions, dosage forms, strengths available and some patient instructions. yesyoucan |
