Question about OTC status of certain drugs
Never mind, I answered my own question. Thanks!
Hi, I know this is a really bad question coming from a fourth year pharmacy student who is about to take his board next year, and it may not even be related to examination at all. I was wondering where do you go to to see if a certain medication/device is available as OTC or not. For example, a customer may ask me if potassium supplement is available as OTC. I work in a specialty pharmacy that carries almost no OTCs so I cannot really go and look, except asking the pharmacist. Or only until recently that I was told in Florida you cannot sell syringes without a prescription, and I still do not know where that law comes from, certainly not on the State Board's website. I probably have lived under a rock or something. No one that I know can provide reliable answers. Any clarification from you would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.
