Took My Naplex Yesterday......
I took my Naplex yesterday and I really studied hard, there were few things that I didn't get a chance to review and I felt little that might be okay but I got bombarded by those questions. I saw tons and tons of drug interaction question, side effects. So many profile question. I had few math problems that were very easy. Math questions were very easy.
Every one from my class who took Naplex had told me Naplex is piece of cake it is easy and all. But I felt so horrible in the test because I almost felt I underestimated the test. There were few easy one's but most of them very interaction or side effect. After 4 years of school and 2 month of solid studying oh god. I am so nervous when would I get my score back. I feel like I am done. I have all those questions in my head and feel like my head is almost going to explode,,, I took NC boards....... |

I agree with you. You have to be lucky for getting easy questions. Let's say like i read all the max doses of the antihypertensive drugs. And, naplex computer thinks that 99 people gives wrong answers out of 100 anti hypertensive max dose questions. If any of max dose question asked to me then it will be piece of cake for me but naplex thinks that I am genious so give score as 99 confidence level. That's the disadvantage of this Computer Adaptive test.
Anyway, we can't change the method and we don't have any option. Quote:

Hi Nikki - I gave my NAPLEX on 9th of this month and your test sounds like mine. I got very few math questions and i was disappointed. Got bombarded with profiles and a lot of max and recommended doses in anticoagulants, side effects in cancer etc. I felt miserable after the test. But a few days later i was surprised to have cleared the test with a lot of room to spare. If you have studied really hard....you will pass!! Hardwork never goes waste!!

I am really sorry for the confusion. "max dose" means patient can max tolerate per day like 40 mg lipitor per day.
Let me re-explain everything: It is obivious that whatever I read and if it is asked in exam then that will be piece of cake for me. But naplex does not know what I read. Naplex always gives the high confidence level to questions like max dose, dosage forms (i.e. questions in which you need to remember numbers). It is obivious that you will get at least two questions (out of 185) of max dose or dosage forms and both must have 99 difficulty level which is equivalent to 10 calculations questions. It is better to read max doses of top 200 drugs first (before calc). I would give priority to read first max dose, dosage forms and counselling points and then I read the drug interactions and side effects. But of-course, you can not ignore anything but I am giving you the priority or the max time you should utilize where. Best luck Gina Quote:
