Pre-NAP: Not what i expected
Well after months of studying AphA and some comprehensive pharmacy review, i took the prenaplex because i was planning to finally schedule the naplex on This WEEK...i took the pre-nap and the questions were not at all what i was expecting: almost no pharmacology (the word receptor never appeared ever), very few major disease questions or drugs (several diabetes), questions on diaper rash(!), several which microbe is this?, several max doses, several compounding type questions (out of 50 questions total!?), several reynaud's disease(!?).
I was not really prepared or focused for those. I scored only 70 No chemo, htn, psych The calculations were easier than the ones i had been practicing thats was probably my best subject(!) |

I got a 131 on my prenaplex, 130 on my naplex, and by all accounts the scores usually turn out pretty similar. This is a great opportunity to revise the way you are studying, and depending on how much time you have, maybe a week or two before your NAPLEX take the second version of the prenaplex to see if you are ready. The real NAPLEX may and probably will have chemo, htn and psych, so the prenaplex is not an indication of which subjects will necessarily appear on the NAPLEX, but the type of questions should give you an idea of how to study better
