eagerph is right, but you still must apply for the intern license to the states who will accept your scores to issue the license.
any intern license document/letter issued by the state whether deficient in SSN, or any case as long as your credentials were accepted will do. based on my copy of documents filed to the INS, the intern license is essential. |

hi lawu2002
do we need pharmacy license from country of origin ? i had to submit my original license to the pharmacy council in maharashtra (india at bombay) to get the good standing certificate which is now in hands of NABP. i have FPGEC certificate and CA board deficiency letter though..... what do you suggest ? pharmacist2005 |

do you have a copy of that good standing certificate you gave to nabp? or at least a copy of the license you submitted to your council? all you need for the H1b are copies.
> Pharmacist License (U.S. and Foreign) the INS is not concerned whether in the process of procuring the fpgee cert involved submitting those same documents (unlike CA Board). they want to have those documents for their review. Last edited by lawu2002 : 08-04-2005 at 12:04 AM. |

Hi. I can answer this.
When you apply to the CA Board for an intern license and you dont have an SSN, they will still review your documents. When they find your documents ok and find you are qualified for the license except the fact you dont have an SSN, they will issue the deficiency letter. This letter/license application is valid for a given period of time. Means that you still have a deadline to give the SSN, but extendable upon request. They will give the license only after you give the SSN. This deficiency letter is acceptable to the INS to replace the state intern license requirement. |
