    Hi,
In the question they have given aq zinc sulphate soln and aq boric acid solution aa 10 ml which means of each 10 ml.So calculate aq zinc solution 0.5% in 10 ml
100 ml contains 0.5 gms of zinc sulphate
Then 10 ml contains 0.05 gms of zinc sulphate(0.05 gms is same as 50 mg which is the answer)

You need to do alligations for this problem:

    78| | 28
    | 38 |
    10| | 40
    68 total

so basically you need 28 parts of the 78%, and 40 parts of the 10% to get 68 parts of the 38%.

    28mL/68mL x 50mL= 20.6mL of the 78%
    40mL/68mL x 50mL= 29.4mL of the 10%

    Hope this is right.
