Hello everyone and thank you forum for all the useful information posted here. I couldn't have done it without all your help. I still have another frontier to cross THE MPJE and the results are awaitedLike everyone else who have posted their experience with the test I am posting mine:
Firstly don't take everything for granted that's posted in this forum. 70% is shear personal opinions than actual facts. Rest 30% is what you want to believe and follow. For those looking for it here's my experience with naplex:
Preparation time: 4 months divided in three parts - 2 months to get accustommed to your study material, 1 month to study seriously and last 1 month for rigorous studies.
Study material: 60% leon shargel, 20% APHA and 10% Kaplan notes. Rest 10% is what you learn in your practice while interning.
Practice: Do a lot of practice questions. I got at least 30 questions that I had actually read thru before hand. That leaves you only 45 more to pass. Appleton, pharmsuccess, pre-naplex must be on your list of material for practice questions and tests.
Important topics: You can not afford to go wrong on any of the 15% of the calculation questions. They are the easiest questions in this exam. Make yourself familiar with all kind of calculations asked in naplex. Pharmacology is the backbone of this exam, do all topics thoroughly related to cardiac system. Make sure you can answer each question asked on this topic comfortably. Calculations + Cardiac System + Practice Questions + Probability = 75 score. Anything beyond that is extra
If you haven't scored more than 90 in both prenaplex and pharmsuccess tests don't go for the exam. You will simply not make it. But if you do score more than 90 on these practice tests go to the exam knowing that you will make it.![]()
