Maryland not accepting hours from out state pharmacy
I just spoke to one of my friend in NY. The big news is Maryland board of pharmacy has stop accepting hours from out state pharmcy. You need to get it transfer from the state board where you have earned your pharmacy hours.. Please visit the Maryland board of pharmacy website..
http://www.dhmh.state.md.us/pharmacyboard/ This is from the website!!!! PLEASE READ - Internship Hour Information: Applicants must obtain on State Board letterhead verification of internship hours earned outside of Maryland. The verification must include preceptor and permit holder verification information, as well as completion of State Board of Pharmacy Internship Certifications or other State Board internship requirements. Applications for licensure in Maryland will not be approved for internship hours earned outside of Maryland, until internship verification has been provided |

Maryland does not give internship permits as per my knowledge. you can work in any pharmacy in maryland (irrespective of fpgee) and report them to maryland board by the preceptor (pharmacist) once after you got the fpgec. Only thing you need to get a job with a pharmacy in maryland.
Previously maryland used to accept internhours directly from a retail pharmacy outside maryland. recently they stopped doing that. Now they want the internship hours reported directly by the state board. |
