hi! everybody, has anyone of you bought the Prontopass Quickcards? is it really good ? I want to hear thy experience of this cards b4 i'll buy them, it's quite expensive that's why.... thanks.
Yeahh easy to remmeber BUT the questions on the NAPLEX are not directly asking you the most common drugs...Proton Pass give you most common used drugs...On my exam, they have most question out off common one..what you gonna do when the drug is not too familiar...? for me Proton Pass didnot help me at all...I failled the exam. ...so please just depend on how you feel...because Naplex has different format for everyone of us. Some have more calculation...some have more antipsychotic drug questions...or asthma questions...God know how many of us still struggle to become a pharmacist. Good Luck to all

I had Prontopass maths review, it was useless, i didnt use it at all. I dont have any hands on experience with the flash cards though, i had USMLE flashcards, which I used a bit, the questions asked on NAPLEX are not direct. So , i feel flash crads wont help much, Flash cards have very common drugs like Propranalol, digitalis, and I feel most of us know them, what is worth concentrating on is being familiar with the NAPLEX format, they test on a variety of topics but most are CURRENT, even if they test on the old used drugs, its very very different, Flash cards have MOA emphasized, where as NAPLEX does not test students on MOA. It goes beyond that, though MOA is the basic but the questions donot revolve around it. I think APHA book is the most important, it has current topics with emphasis on Patient education.NAPLEX for most of us was very hard, but with reviewing APHA thoroughly and KAPLAN it gets going. I think KAPLAN book gives you very good strategies too for the test, I mean I had read it and I really liked it, I even tried it in my exam, when I did not know the ans for most calculations, it helped me though. If a test taker keeps on getting wrong ans for calculations, there would be more number of questions, since the computer takes that many questions to decide the real score in MATH section. I guess its same for most topics, I had this experience since I got very few calculation questions, and the topics I did not know I had a bunch of questions. I was so frustrated since I could not answer those questions well.
In short my experience with KAPLAN and APHA was good.I think one shld review these two books a lot of times to get comfortable with the idea.
