NAPLEX Reinstated in all Prometric Testing Centers, Effective October 5
NABP is pleased to announce that the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination™ (NAPLEX®) program is being reinstated in all Prometric testing centers, effective October 5, 2007. Candidates who have been deemed eligible for the NAPLEX by their respective state boards of pharmacy will have the option of scheduling an appointment to sit for the examination from October 5 forward. Prometric’s customer service department began accepting calls from candidates for examination appointments and rescheduling of appointments on October 1. If a candidate has an existing appointment, either selected before the suspension of the NAPLEX or rescheduled by Prometric during the suspension, it will be the candidate’s responsibility to reschedule that appointment if the candidate desires an earlier appointment date and time. NABP cautiously estimates that reinstatement of the Georgia Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination® (MPJE®) will occur in late November or early December.

yup great news for all of us who have been waiting to take the test.
I was wondering whoever is taking test in early october can give us an idea about how new NAPLEX is? (not the questions though).Is material we are following ( like APHA,Appleton Lange,Kaplan,Shargil) still helpful as wll as weightage on topics such as calculation, CVS, CNS, Oncology, TPN etc.

I took the NAPLEX today. It was horrible. No clues what in the world the questions were about, very few calculations, tones of patient profiles with lab values and DI, a lot of herbal meds, all kind of new drugs. I already know my result: D I S A S T E R !.
Study hoard guys!, It's no joke. But since I never took the test before I cannot tell you it was harder than before, so PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT PANIC!!, you will probably do much better than me.

I took the Naplex last friday and didn't think it was all that difficult. I'm not sure what Ali meant by the fact that there were "all kind of new drugs"????? This is definitely not true. If Ali thinks that there was a lot of new drugs on the Naplex, he probably failed, since there wasn't. The Naplex exam does not contain questions about drugs which came out in the last 6 months, and for the most post, you won't even see drugs on the exam that came out within the last year. So, don't worry about all these "new drugs" Ali is talking about. If you prepared adequately, most of you will past. Remember, the passing rate for Naplex is >90%. Best of Luck.

Could you please tell us the approximate number of questions you got from Calculations, OTC and Herbals?. This wll be greatly appreciated by all and is general information.

Were there a lot of " k" type questions??
I would also like to know if there were a lot of calculations from pharmacokinetics chapter??I am taking the exam on nov 10th.Pl help me with any suggestions as to which chapters i should pay more attention.

I would like to know if anyone is studying for the georgia board. I don't know how to prepare for the wet lab that is offered. If anyone that has taken it or is planning on taking it has any information for me to prepare such as a prep course that is offered. I would appreciate it.
