Nevada Internship and NAPLEX

Hi Everyone!

I want to ask if there are a lot of job opening for pharmacist in Las Vegas, Nevada. My husband and I are considering to move from CA to NV. How much is the rate for grad intern and retail pharmacist in that area?
I would really appreciate your comments and response.

Hi,

As of now its very difficult to get in Las vegas. You may not get an internship, since Rite Aid has recently closed all its stores here, and people moved to different stores, since they lost job.

May be you give a try after 6 months or so.

So what's the problem with Nevada, why did Rite Aid close up their pharmacies in Nevada? Do you have any idea what their reason could be?

Hi yugos,

They have some strategy. Like CVS don't have their presence in UT, WY, WA, etc. Similarly, Rite Aid might have had some plans. They closed all their stores and prescriptions have been transfered to Walgreens.
