I tried that calculation, and I came up with 0.8mg/day as well. the only possible way I can think of getting 1.6 is if they thought there were 10 drops/mL, but that does not make any sense. Is it possible that the book is wrong?
A prescription for alomide reads as follows
Alomide 0.1 % eye drops
Sig: 2 gtts ou qid X 30 days
How many milligrams of alomide are present in per day dose of the drug?
I thought
per day 16 drops.
1ml =20 drops
? 16 drops so it would be 0.8 ml
drug is 0.1%
100-------------0.1
0.8-------------?
So I got the answer as 0.8 mg
But the answer given in the book is 1.6 mg.
Please correct me If I am wrong?
Thank you

It is because you are giving drops in both eyes so 0.8x2.
By the way, where are you studying the calculations from? I am trying to use APHA but it is such a mess, I'm lost! Particularly the beginning of the chapter about kinetics.
Can you answer me please?
