    Dear Alink,
What do u think of the matter being friendly to others..u r right saying it is USA standards that should be respected..but it is not a matter of scores..I have a lot of friends who have reacted badly with this bad kind of speaking test, however, their language is almost perfect..coz some of them r american citizens. Dear Alink, I actually passed the speaking score with 27 and I got the certificate, but I admit this test is unfair..It didnt represent my answers' excellency each time I took the test..Plz Alink, although u r right in some points..u attitude is so bad towards ur colleages.

"have not had any kind of sense" is bad English. "did not make any sense" is the phrase you wanted to use, my teacher. Stop trying to correct me, you're not at that level. Not even close.

Ok, Mr. 80 on TOEFL iBT. Go ahead and give us all a nice lesson.

You do need an article. Go back to your books. No wonder you get 80 with that kind of "knowledge". Why would I say "great effort" if I meant "the effort"? "the effort" means "some effort" or "enough effort" or "just enough effort", not "great effort".

Am I writing formal English here. No, I wrote my thesis in formal English, this is a f-o-r-u-m.

But, again, you are wrong. It seems you've only read the first two chapters of English grammar. You can definitely say "made the effort to" because the verb that follows is related to the whole phrase, not just the verb "made". This whole sentence is badly constructed. Bad English. You should have used "in that".

Again, for the sake of American patients' safety, I will make sure that I write a letter to NABP encouraging them to uphold the 26 requirement.

    AlNik

P.S. Pharaohs don't really moonlight (yes, moonlight is a verb) in drug stores, do they? Don't embarrass yourself.

My attitude is not bad towards everyone here. It's only bad towards people like our pharaoh here since I know the type - they would rather complain and try to change the rules than sit down and study.

I completely support the colleagues that have studied and passed TOEFL iBT and those who are trying to do so. However, this guy got 80 and he wants NABP to lower the standards for him? Egypt is a big country, he is welcome to practice there if he's not happy with the TOEFL requirements.

Let me repeat - I have not prepared for the speaking section at all. I am not a native speaker, I improvised and scored 28. In my mind, that is fair.

And, as I mentioned earlier, some people with scores over 26 are still difficult to understand at times. Lowering the req to 24 or 22 would be a crime since we are supposed to talk to people about important issues of health, dosage, compliance etc.

By the way Alnik, have you gotten an intern position yet(I could not resist asking)? Maybe you could give the rest of us poor souls some constructive advice? Perhaps?

It's been very difficult this year without a Green Card. I did not receive my Certificate in time to be considered for big chains, unfortunately, so I secured an internship with a smaller local pharmacy. Application materials are almost done. I'm not sure how that can help you, but I would advise you to think locally.

As I mentioned above - I do not have a Green Card. I will apply for H1B.

I have no idea how easy it would be for you with a Green Card. If you're smart, have a good CV and if you can speak decent English, you will probably have no difficulties.

Barking?? Are you trying to insult me? I could tell you a lot of things, but I would rather do that face to face.

I am raising some very important points. Some of you guys feel that anything is ok in your hunt for money. You mention God so many times in these threads, yet you are driven by greed.

All the points that I have raised are valid and true. I support NABP in saying no to people who would rather yell and complain than study.

I made no excuses for myself, I just took FPGEE and TOEFL and passed both. Why can't you do the same? It's the same for everyone, why should you be the exception?

As I said before - you always have the option to practice in your home country.

Hussein, you are absolutely right about this hatred, malicious person.
The greatest thing about this country is that it is allowing piece of....... just as this person someone who is illegal to be seated to take an important exam.
He said that he work in small pharmacy, and I think that he is going to clean the shelves or clean the owner's shoes.I Have a good job for him. We have a new kind of supp dosage form need to be tested and evaluated, and I believe that he is the best person for this trial.
    26!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
