Many of us have passed TOEFL iBT and they should change the rules for the ones of you incapable of sitting down and practicing for it? Hell, I made the effort and passed the exam, so should you. Are you saying that people who have passed before you should now watch you get an easy way out. I say HELL NO!

Some of you are coming from the countries where you can bend the rules if you know someone or if you pay someone. USA doesn't work that way most of the time, so don't try to bend the rules, try passing the exam. It's not impossible.

Some of the people here have been failing TOEFL iBT for 2 years already. I believe that anyone can learn English very well in one year, let alone 2. It's just about the effort. Stop writing letters to NABP and start studying.

Or just continue being pharaohs in your own country.
    AlNik,

Congratulations for passing the TOEFLiBT exam.

I just wanted to remind you that this is professionals' discussion group, and not a place to show your muscles that you're better than others. Mind you, there are very many life challenges facing you in the future... This is just the beginning, and not the end of the struggle.

You said you've just started your internship training... Congratulations!!!! I believe you'll agree with me that you've a long way to go. You have so many hurdles ahead of you like professional license exams (NAPLEX, MPJE & practical exams - if applicable). Many people have complained about dealing with their managers & technicians at their places of work. Pray to God the almighty that you get a manager who will treat you with respect. When you get married (If you are not yet married) you might spend months or even years making yourself comfortable with your partner attempting to deal with the incompatibilities between you and your partner. When you become licensed you will get a six figures salary, which will make you adapt to a certain way of life and if something bad happens in the future to make you lose your license you may end up in foreclosure, forfeiture or even getting a mental breakdown.

I think it makes sense to just ignore contributing your ideas in situations that might hurt others. We all know that TOEFLiBT is a mess... Even the top level management of ETS has acknowledged that it is a big mess. There are so many people in this discussion group that have scored 115 and higher who have never used the words that you are accustomed to. Please remember that this is just the beginning of life, and not the end of it.

Again, congrats for passing this unfair & substandard exam.

As I mentioned above - I do not have a Green Card. I will apply for H1B.
How you advise people to go to their own countries despite the fact that you are illegal in this country. you are the only one deserving not to be here or not to be a pharmacist even though I do not believe that you are a pharmacist!

As always, you both react with aggression and hatred, not me. I presented you with facts - some people pass the exam easily, you have difficulties. That doesn't mean NABP should help you out. Study, shut up, and give it your best.

Oh, yeah, and try to stay out of your closed communities. There are other people out there, you know. And they speak English.

Why do you concentrate purely on my TOEFL iBT achievement? That's not the point of my message at all.

My problem is with people who want to change the rules because they're not good enough (for lack of effort) to pass an exam that is perfectly passable. I passed it without preparation, surely they can pass it if they study. But no, they probably speak their own languages all day even though some of them live in the US.

And stop mentioning "God almighty" all the time, you make this forum sound like a religious cult. I believe in God, but I keep it to myself. Also, I find it very interesting that HUSSEIN's and phaemcist are also believers, yet they are capable of spewing out such horrible words towards me.

    Hypocrites.

I'm not illegal. On the other hand, I wonder how it is possible that you are a Green card holder (probably through lottery) and can't pass TOEFL for so long? Hmmm... Interesting...

I completely support the colleagues that have studied and passed TOEFL iBT and those who are trying to do so. However, this guy got 80 and he wants NABP to lower the standards for him? Egypt is a big country, he is welcome to practice there if he's not happy with the TOEFL requirements.

Let me repeat - I have not prepared for the speaking section at all. I am not a native speaker, I improvised and scored 28. In my mind, that is fair.

And, as I mentioned earlier, some people with scores over 26 are still difficult to understand at times. Lowering the req to 24 or 22 would be a crime since we are supposed to talk to people about important issues of health, dosage, compliance etc.
AlNik, if you won't mind may I please ask you where are you from?

I don't think there's any correlation between the accent of an examinee and the score of 26 in the speaking section of TOEFLiBT. Would you please give me a reference for your findings?

Have you been to New Orleans Louisiana? Have you ever been to South Central Los Angeles or met a person who was raised in that area (in the hood)? Have you ever met someone living in the "projects" of downtown Baltimore MD? Have you ever conversed with someone from Albuquerque NM? Ever met a native New Yorker? Have you ever had conversation with a native American of a Siouan Tribe from the Hawkeye state?

The point that I wanted to raise here is that God has created us with multiple beautiful accents. If you put together individuals from areas I have mentioned above you will be entertained to the maximum because of the unique accents that will come out of their throats. America is the most diverse country in the world and you cannot change that. Disrespecting FPGEC candidates that their accents "are difficult to understand" is absolutely unacceptable.
