It is great news guys. Hope all of us win this time.
I read what is written on USCIS website, and I did not understand exactly what they meant by final receipt date, and what they mean when they say "To ensure a fair system, USCIS may randomly select the number of petitions required to reach the numerical limit from the petitions received as of the final receipt date. USCIS will reject cap subject petitions that are not selected, as well as those received after the final receipt date." But then I saw all the happy responses in this forum, and I am happy too. This upbeat mood in this forum has perked me up too. Thank you all. All the best to all of you. Sony |

Hi all,
Its me again. Sometimes I feel nothing is fair. There is no fair system. Then I realize it is people like you all, that keeps us going. Each one of you resonate god's fairness in the world. Each one of you is HOPE, for those who did not make it this year, to keep trying. I really wish you all the very best. |

USCIS has received a certain number of applications without hitting the cap for FY2010. They will accept applications until they reach the limit. The applications they have received so far are going to be processed. USCIS will announce the day when they will stop accepting cap-subject applications (in a month, two months... nobody knows). This will be the final receipt date. If on that day they end up having too many applications they may randomly select some of the applications (received on the final receipt date) and reject the others. Hope this was clear. |

Nooooooooo Lottery guys, congratulation to each and every one of you.
There may be a mini lottery for applications that are received in the day the cap is hit,we have nothing to do with this. Hope we receive our receipt notices soon within the few coming weeks, and to be approved shortly after that, that would be the last step in our hard, anxious and long journey! Please update us once you get your receipt notices and let us keep updated and share useful information for the good of us all. Congratulations again and again, best luck to us all. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hello guys! I asked my sister who is in the US to call the USCIS regarding the lottery issues. I was also confused on whether we would be included in that since our petitions were filed in the 1st 5 working days of April. They informed my sister that they still continue to accept petitions and will only stop until the cap is reached. That means, no lottery for us and to the others who would be filed in the next days or weeks. They said they will only conduct the lottery, if needed, on the day that the cap has been reached. So, this is pretty clear. I hope this will lessen the worries of some people in this blog and to other blogs as well. We all have to pray that we receive our receipt notices as soon as possible. Good luck and God bless to all!
