No news yet from RA about my approval.
whats happening I dont know. Anyone else in the same position as me? The USCIS web site is not updated and No email from Rite Aid. I am really worried. My batch number is 144 and already people with batch number 146 got their approval from vermont service center.I just got back from the US from a short visit. My question is, should I have travelled or not. anyway its too late now, but a friend of mine said i shouldnt have. Where in any document was travel to US restricted once filing has started? Any help is greatly appreciated |

Hi,
It depends on what visa you were in the USA. If it is B1/B2 then you will need to travel out and then come in on a H1b stamped. If you are on F1 visa then you can travel out as long as your SEVIS is active and you H1b will take effect on 1st October. Generally rule is that to avoid travel once your petition is filed and travel only after it is approved as your I-94 changes. My friend came in on a B1/B2 and then left the Country once he knew that his petition was approved. Good Luck |

Jampharma, I seem to be in the same situation with you, I was in the US for two weeks in May on B1/B2 visa, I am back to my country now and do not yet have my H1b appoved. My number is EAC 09 145xxxxx. Does that have any implication!

Jampharma and Kilode, your travelling to the US should not cause any delay in your H-1B processing as they are different catagory of Visa compared to B1/B2 visa. I understand that H-1B would be processed normally and approved even if you are still staying in the US on any other non-immigrant visa. For example I-120 or B1/B2 visa status could be changed to H-1B in the US had the applicant indicated that in the I-129 form.... so don't worry, I am sure your H-1B will be approved soon. Cheers!!

Hi,
You guys have any information about your receipts, did RA email them to you and where was it filled, california service center or Vermount, if it was Vermount it might take time. I am sure you will get it soon. I think it is fine no problem with the regards to traveling on b1/b2. good luck |
