My petition was filed 1st April and I got a Receipt notice dated 28th April. The Approval Notice I got is not an attached document but an email from my lawyer notifying me that he has received my approval. He also asked me to forward to him my street address and Telephone number. I guess the notice document will be sent along with other H1B document for onward transmission to the Embassy. I therefore don't know the date on the approval yet.

The lawyer informed me that some approved notices get to candidates like 10 days after the date on approval. This means that a lot of Approval are on their way both from Immigration as well as from the lawyers themselves. I think the load of work is enormous and could be responsible for the inability of USCIS updating the status of petitions.

you were right! Received the approval notice by mail yesterday. My lawyer mailed it to me. My receipt no was also EAC142******. Website is not updated yet.

I don't know what the next step is after u receive approval.

Goodluck to all waiting for their approval. I guess most will get it since the quota was not reached.

I am happy you received it. As for the next step, once you have all the docs you need, you'll have to go to the embassy to stamp your passport. If you are in the US your lawyer can process the adjustment of status.

Mr. Miller emailed me on May 30 and informed me that they have the approval documents with them. He asked me to send my receiving address and telephone number. The vermont USCIS website is not updated because during checking of my receipt number online it says " Case received and pending". I am waiting for the documents via Fedex.

I have just received an email from RiteAid informing me that my visa petition has been approved. My receipt No. is EAC 09 144 XXXXX (receipt date April 22nd). The USCIS website still shows "Case received and pending".

Hi everyone! Just got an email from my employer informing me of the approval notice that they have received. My receipt no. is EAC-09-146-xxxxx (Received date: Apr 7, Notice date: Apr 24). The USCIS site still shows case received and pending. For those still waiting for their approval, I know that you will soon get it. God bless us all!
