Hello everyone, I am a practicing pharmacist in the uk and have been for almost ten years, was really wondering if the market for pharmacists in california and washington is bad-seems to be from the little research i've done so far. I really wanted to know before I attempt to apply for all the exams etc... as its a long process and need to decide if its a viable option. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I am also from the UK, started the long process of emigratingin June 2007, passed all the exams in 2008, missed the visa date last year but luckily I have a job and visa for this year. There are jobs out there, although maybe not as many as there once were. If you are thinking about it have a look around these forums and google moving to the USA, it is a long and difficult process and I would suggest only starting it if you are fully aware of the details and significant cost(!) involved. Good luck. ![]() |

The FPGEE exam was OK, relatively difficult but if you're well prepared then it should be ok for you. The English exam is tricky although should be ok for you.
I managed to get job offers last year and this year. This year the visa process is a bit easier because of the state of the economy but last year for example there were over 160,000 applicants for 85000 visas so it went to a lottery. |
