Help me! FPGEC holder with no intern position in sight!
Dear All,
I have the elusive FPGEC now. But there seems to be no end in sight to all conceivable hurdles in this quest!. Now I can't get anyone to agree to a H1B sponsorship and intern position. Can someone help me out there? What can I do this time to crack this? I need encouragement, bright ideas, compelling insights,.....but above all, leads to an intern position anywhere in the USA! Thanks in advance my friends. |

Hi there! try the link below:
http://www.myvisajobs.com/H1B-Visa-074-2009-SO.htm That contains the list of top 100 h1b sponsors for pharmacists last 2008. I hope you could still find one that is still open for sponsorship. Good luck! ![]() |

Lempharm,
Congratulations on earning your FPGEC! By acquiring the FPGEC, you have reached a major milestone in your quest. I have spoken with numerous foreign grad pharmacist that are in a similar situation and have found that they are not using the most efficient method to seek an internship. Additionally, they have red flags in their resume that are easily spotted by most hiring managers and immediately eliminate them from the candidate pool. At this point, you should continue to seek guidance from your colleagues that have experience along the journey in great forums as the one found on the test magic site. c12 listed a very useful link to give you an idea of what companies have a history of sponsoring foreign grads. This is a great starting point to guide you in where to apply. My question to you is are you ready for the conversation once you actually speak to a hiring manager? Once you finally speak with someone, you have one chance to make a memorable impression and it is imperative that you send the right message! Be prepared for that conversation and practice what you plan to say. Additionally, I provide an insightful service and you can learn more at www.foreigngradpharmacist.com My service will put together a plan specifically designed to highlight your strengths and counsel you on this process. Sign up for a free 5 minute consulation to see how I can help. I wish you success on your quest and I hope I have added some encouragement and value to your efforts! Take Care, heretohelp |

Hi lempharm! I think you can find the contact info for the boards of pharm in all the states in the NABP letter that you received along with the FPGEC cert. I know that most states require an intern license/deficiency letter but there are few states that don't register pharm interns like Tennessee.
