Hello Kababayans!
I'm just wondering why did you have to go through an agency to process your papers with POEA. Is there any complications in processing those papers? Or is it because you guys were advised by Riteaid to contact the agency? I went through the POEA website and the steps are pretty simple. Since (I think) I'm the only Pinoy pharmacist sponsored by CVS in this forum, I'll have it all done myself. Good luck everyone!  |

Hello to all,
its been a while since i have been in this site. still doing my internship..to share regarding winonas question.For a while back, POEA almost did not allow Walgreens interns to leave because of a POEA ruling that companies who directly hire people more than 30, if im not mistaken,should also have an agency in the Philippines. It was because of this that Rite Aid, so to speak, danced with the politics in the philippines and got themselve partnered with an agency. So, i think youre fine winona, as long as poea stamped your papers. As for the rite aid recruits, your names have been handled by finestasia.. and you not be able to do it on your own because all rite aid recruits will reflect in poea database as under the agency. good luck to you guys!! its just a few days and youll be in the states... |

James emailed me but with a different message. My petition was originally in North Carolina but in his latest email he was mentioning that they have needs in other areas such as Tenessee, Kentucky and other states. It will become a sudden change in my plan...I am a little confused about his email.

Please take note of the message sent to me by Finest Asia, Resources, Inc. for your information which I have pasted below. The following are the required documents: 1. Copy of your Employment Contract with Rite Aid Corp. (with your original signature) 2. Resume with detailed job description 3. Photocopies of School Diploma and Transcript of Records 4. Certificate of Employment 5. NBI Clearance for overseas work 6. Photocopy of passport 7. Photocopy of the H-1B visa stamped on the passport 8. Pre-departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) Certificate (FARI will issue this certiicate) 9. Medical Certificate (Issued by the Medical Clinic accredited by POEA) 10. 1 pc. long folder 11. 6 pcs. 2x2 colored photo with white background Also, the following forms to be accomplished (FARI will provide the forms): 1. Application Form 2. POEA Info Sheet 3. Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (M1b-Form) 4. THANKS AND BEST REGARDS" The medical clinic for Finest Asia which is accredited by POEA is Biomedic which is located at Robinson's Galeria, tel no: 638-8876.. You can inquire more information about it when you call Yolly or the clinic. Just one thing that you need to know is that one of the lab tests or exams to be performed will be stool exam  . Before, POEA had this name hire thing( I hope my memory serves me right) wherein they allow a certain number of filipinos to be exempted from going through a recuiter. If your agency has not reached that quota yet, good for you. I am not sure if they still allow this though. POEA has a list of accredited medical clinics for the medical exams. I think the exams/tests will comprise of the usual ones: blood, urine, stool, etc. I will be doing it next week so I can't share with you any detail yet. |
