The only way to get your internship done is to get H1B visa through employer. However, first you need apply for intern license. If state doesn't matter for you then look for the state that will issue deficiency letter ( you don't have ss, do you?). Than present this deficiency letter to a perspective employer ( who agreed to file a petition for H1B visa for you for the next year). I think that Maryland doesn't have intern license.

Thanks for the info. I am in a similar situation as OP. I have been living in the US for last 9 years, and currently on H1B for a pharma company. However, I want to move into retail pharmacy and have applied to appear for October 2009 FPGEE (waiting for the approval to test from NABP). Could you please let me know if I can apply for a intern licence in MA, IL or FL before passing FPGEE/TOEFL, because per my understanding these states do not require to have FPGEC beforehand to start internship. I greatly appreciate your suggestions/advise. Thanks! |
