Hi Sandyvem,
Your volunteer hours will not be count toward your internship hours before you get intern license. Obtaining your intern hours without intern license considered illegal in any state.

hi xtinch.What state are you in?because i did a volunteer internship hours (1000) hours for NJ,and send in my papers,they told me that there not sure if i can issue and ATT number for Naplex and Mpje because i don 't have work authorization,they didn't reject it yet but they said that they will let me know,my question is do you have any information that might be helpful?Thanks and good luck to everybody

Hi hather,which state are you in?because i volunteered also for New Jersey license (1000) hours,and when i send the papers to get the ATT number they told me if i don't have a work authorization they might not issue ATT so i can go for examinations and i am currently on H4b visa.DO you have any information about that i would really appreciate it.

Hi Levann, Actually I am in the same situation..I volunteered in certain independent Pharmacy in NJ..Yet, I carry a B2 visitor visa. My question is: Can I take the NAPLEX examination soon or not?

drhoshos.i don't know my self either,i sent the application last week to nj board and waiting for an answer,i will let you know if we'll be able to take the exams.good luck to everyone.

Hey guys,
Is it ok to volunteer if on an h1b with another company so as to finish the hours quicker? If so, do you need permission from your h1b employer?Thanks for your response.

No. It's not OK.You can't work or volunteer at the other location. The problem isn't a permission from your H1B holder. First, you need a preceptor and you can't have two of them at the same time. Even if you volunteer you need someone to supervise you.
