hi folks

I passed toefl 0n 10th july and right now awaiting FPGEC. My question is can i apply for internship before I receive my intern license in CA?

You can contact employers, but they will ask both FPGEC and Intern license of the state (e.g, CA). To apply intern license you need FPGEC, So wait until you get FPGEC. All the best.

Hi

I have contacted some chains of pharmacies like CVS, Rite Aid. They are not hiring foreign pharmacists at this moment. They say that I have to contact them in January. Now I am trying to contact independent pharmacies, but it seems hard no answer yet. Please any suggestion. I will appreciate it.

I suggest you go and volunteer while waiting for replies. That way you get your hours, too. I have been looking for pharmacies to do my internship for months now and no such luck. Probably because of the economy but I am doing volunteer internship for now. Just go and walk up to independent pharmacies and ask them if they're hiring. If not, ask them if they accept volunteer interns. Most of them do. Good luck and God bless.

thanks a lot guys for your kind help...but my worry is i dont have license yet and if i start volunteering right now then would my hours be counted towards internship? As far as i know your hours will be counted only after you have license.

It is really hard to find employers right now. I have gone to many chain stores but they say "no vacancy right now".

Hi all,
I got internship in an independent pharmacy in KY.But the thing is I dint receive my intern license yet.If I start volunteering even before getting my license,will my hours be counted??? PLease let me know.

As far as I know, independent pharmacies are more willing to take volunteers.
